This place used to be my hidey, thinking spot. I just moved so I'm not getting to enjoy it. It will forever be in my heart as cheesy as that sounds. Lots of great times out there. Beautiful views, not so clean water, fishing pier, picnic tables, really nice children's play area, volleyball court, lots of grassy spots for tanning, Bathrooms that aren't disgusting, Frisbee golf course, side road pull offs for a more private time to think. Gorgeous drive just to get there and it's not far from Conway or Greenbrier but it is a very pretty views. I miss it. And yes the water gets funky sometimes but they frequently test the water and take action immediately. The fishing isn't worth it. The population is low, you're more likely to catch a turtle. :)
Love the park and swimming areas. But it seems that the number of outdoor grills the enjoy a barbeque at the lake have diminished. I think there were only 3 the last time there. Better care and resending of grassy areas would help improve the overall feel
