Church of Christ is the church more closely to the scripts, do you don't believe me? Good.
I'm new in town but my experience here was good. The people were nice, the message was excellent.
"John James" was never a member of the congregation. "Stephanie Walls" needs to contact me to discuss her comments. I'm not sure why these folks would post this to Google without bringing this to our attention first. That would have been the kind thing to do.
It's unfortunate to see these reviews. This congregation shows nothing but love to anyone visiting and the love the church has for one another is real. I hope and pray that one day you will really seek truth and rid this hate you have from your heart. I pray about it daily with faith and confidence.
Came visit this church and Larne about the God words. I already did it. :)
I do not want to bore anyone with my life story but I do want to be clear about this congregation of Christians. I do not consider myself as having grown up as a Christian. I probably lived my life as many others have. I am no different than anyone. This congregation helped me to realize that I was missing something, and that my knowledge of the Word and of God was indeed lacking. In 2001, with much love and patience, they helped me learn what the Bible says about committing your life to Christ. They were not forceful, condescending, or arrogant. They let me make my own decisions in my journey towards Christ. They were there if I had questions, conflicts, or concerns but they let me direct my own steps and come to my own understandings and conclusions. I have been with this congregation ever since. I have never met a group of people that are more sincere, loving, kind, and genuinely concerned for your spiritual health. Not once have I been made to feel unwanted or uncomfortable. That is not saying that we don't have our problems. We do, just like everyone else. How people handle their differences is what I truly love about this congregation. It is done with respect, brotherly love, and a sincere desire to make sure there is a resolution to things according to biblical principles, and to make sure that everyone is as satisfied with the outcomes as possible. The elders and many of the members will often go out of their way to make sure that everyone feels loved, and comfortable, and like they are a part of something special. I have been at the congregation now through two evangelists, and both men have done an amazing job. Their knowledge and commitment to the study of the scriptures has been truly wonderful. They have always been extremely helpful whenever I have had questions. I may have not had the same view as theirs on every occasion, but not once did they avoid my concerns or questions, or even arguments. They may have stood firm on a stance, but never were they patronizing or holier than thou. They listen to you and let you give voice to your points, always trying hard to be patient and willing. They strive to be good leaders and teachers in a manner that is becoming of a Christian. The bottom line is that these people care deeply about a person's soul and spiritual journey. They also care deeply for one another and try to display the loving characteristics that are so prominent in the Bible, without sacrificing their stance for righteousness. I have not always been a spiritual person, and to some maybe not even a good person. When I committed myself to try to live the life of a Christian, these amazing people were there to help me every step of the way. Ever since then they have become a family to me. And they try to live like true brothers and sisters in Christ. Over the past 15 years my family and I have traveled and worshiped with ,many congregations across this country. Every time we have met wonderful and loving people. Only on a handful of occasions have we found congregations that have matched Prince Street in friendliness, genuineness, and a sincere desire to do what is pleasing to God. Whenever we have had a chance to travel, we always look forward to worshiping once again with our friends and brethren here. It always just feels like home. But that's just me. :)
