I have been at this location on two seperate occasions. once for a tire patch, which the Tech ended up finding a second tire in need of a patch. (a month later, still no issues there.)
I will be going to the Wal-Mart by my house in little rock that is much further away rather than wasting my time at this one again.
Got here today to get my tires balanced. i have done this before at other Walmart stores and been out back on the road in 30 minutes. i noticed the shop was slightly busy but not more than any other shops. they told me it would be an hour to an hour and a half. I'm not too sure why, they had 5-6 people in the garage working on cars. two in front of me were flat repairs, which is a 15 minute job. but for some reason i waited an hour and forty five minutes before they would even have rolled my car into the shop. and it would have been another 45 minutes they said to balance all 4 tires. the technicians were working slower than molasses and did a whole lot of standing around and talking. i took my car and headed back to work without getting done what i needed as i couldn't afford to extend my lunch break even longer than it was in the first place.
Called DRAKE, TLE Mgr on 4/20 to get 4 tires and an appointment to have them installed. We set a time of 11 A.M. on 4/21. Got there at 10:45, tried to check in got a SUPER hassle. Told by young kid at counter he would be outside shortly. Went back outside. He came out and told me to move my car away from the tire bays and to the lube write up sign. WHY I had an appointment for TIRES. He walked back inside. A girl in a little hot rod car pulled around me and up to the lube bay. Another employee came out and started writing a portable service order for her then went to the next guy that pulled in behind her. There Were THREE "workers" in the Tire bays and then one MAN changing tires on one car. After waiting another 15 minutes at the place I was told to go to, I gave up and went elsewhere. THE FORD DEALER. I ordered my tires there and then at 12:42 the manager, DRAKE, called me to ask when I was going to be there for my tires. I had already called 1800WALMART to file a verbal complaint which was as always a waste for time but it sure made me feel better to yell at them. The Manager, DRAKE, promised he was going to check into what had happened.(He did not trust what I told him) I suggested tat he look at the SECURITY TAPES and SEE what was going on in the "SERVICE" bay that morning. AVOID THIS STORE AND THE #5 STORE ON HWY 65 NORTH AT ALL COST! They both are terrible at customer service.
Got a screw in my tire this morning. Says the tire and lube opens at 7. I got here at 6:45 with 2 cars already in line in front of me. It is now 7:18 and not a single worker Has started checking people in, but they sure are worried about arranging tires In Front of the store with 3 people working on display and no one attending to customers....I'm sorry but I feel like your customers should be your FIRST priority...if it want the only tire shop open right now I would be leaving...I was even going to go ahead and buy tired today since I'm here, but now I won't. I'll take my business elsewhere for that.
And the screw which is clearly not in the sidewall is still in the center of the tire as I am driving off. This is outrageous
Then as I am at work waiting to hear I get a call. Says the tire cannot be repaired due to a cut that is leaking air in the sidewall, but didn't have a tire to replace it and would have to order it. I told her I needed my car today, so put the spare on so I can drive it. I show back up and they did not put the spare on. They documented that I declined the repair (which I did not) and that it was an unsafe environment, but when confronted they said it was holding air and safe to drive on it. Do not trust these people...they do not know what they are talking about.
i have never seen a shop with such a slow turnover for simple tasks, but when the techs and counter people gather up around the register for 25 minutes to try and order a guy some tires; I guess i shouldnt have expected too much in terms of fast service.
the second occasion, was for an oil change. And i was very impressed with how efficient they were. both times ive been in, ive been greeted by literally everyone working in TLE. I definitely will continue trusting this particular location with my vehicle.
I went to the store on a Monday to pick tires, and made an appointment to return on Tuesday for them to be installed. I arrived at least 10 minutes before my appointment time on Tuesday. The tire greeter guy couldn't find my tires. I waited for about 2 hours and nothing happened to my car. Making an appointment is a waste. It doesn't guarantee anything. Save yourself the hassle , and frustration and go someone else with better customer service and less frustration.
